    double reg an rt?

i want to put a high pressure vigilante reg on my classic rt because it spikes up 15-20 bps evey 3 or 4 shots and is very anoyying, but i have heard that it is a bad idea to double regulate mags, i run off a 68ci 3000psi nitro duck preset and i dont have the cash to go and buy an expensive flatline system or maxflo. i have also replaced my reg piston but that didt fix it. can anyone tell me if it will work and why/why not?

    - 03 Angel Ir3 fly
    - 8 inch J&J edge barrel
    - 68ci 3k nitroduck
    - q-loader<--hands down, the best loader made.
    - do i need anything else?

No, you don't want another reg on it. Tank is one, gun is another.

Now, when you get your chrono readings, are you chrono'ing the RT way or just pulling the trigger? Cuz it will do what you are experiencing if you don't do it correctly.

RT valves will varry in chrono readings a bit b/c of how they work. So it'll never be as consistent as you want. +/-5 is pretty good.

If you're having THAT much variation, change your reg seat on the valve.
