You're actually running one of the BIGGER carriers.

The smallest one has no lines and no dots.

What you want to do is find the BIGGEST carrier that won't leak and use that.

Start with 2 lines and work from there. I did find though that with the Level 10 in cold weather, you need to oil every tank change- the oring likes to shrink a bit and the oil will help keep you shooting. (I'm talking like below freezing temps)

I'm going start over with the installation procedure. I followed the instructions to the letter, but the carrier with two lines leaked down the barrel initially. I wasn't sure of the line-to-size correlation when I started, so I just grabbed one marked differently that was close and it stopped leaking. I just assumed I went down a size.

And I can't be 100% sure that this is only a lvl 10 problem. Even with the stock bolt, I could only go through half a hopper before it froze up and leaked down the barrel or out the back. I've read other advise on winter play with the mag, but I have the expansion chamber, and I was very picky with my shots and sniped the whole day (no cover fire from me that day). It did drop below freezing toward the end of the day, and combined with the CO2, the gun was very cold. We had a camp fire going and I'd take the valve and all off the gun in between rounds and warm it up near the fire (with a heat shield, of course), but had the same problem over and over. If you have other suggestions, I certainly appreciate them. I've read the forum thourougly today and I've noticed some of the good advice you've offered, and being new to this style of gun, I truely appreciate any tips or suggestions.

It's the CO2 you want to keep warm, the valve is almost secondary to it. Putting a neoprene cover over it will help insulate it somewhat. I'm curious to see if putting one or two of those hand warmers in there around the tank could possibly alleviate some of the cold weather problems.

Take a look at that if you have another question about which carrier is smaller/bigger than another.

Me too. I had one on the valve for one game, but it was already pretty much cashed and less-than-hot at the time; didn't work. I'd like to try and avoid a N2 tank, don't want to spend the money, but you gotta do what you gotta do
