    Cocker help?

I just got a 2k1 STO cocker in a trade and when I air up my gun and start shooting it seems like the bolt isnt coming back far enough and its not moving forward hard enough. I have a P&P reg on it and I messed around with that a little and still nothing. Anyone know what I could do? Thanks in advance.

I'm a little lost. Is it going back far enough to let paint fall into the breach? Not moving forward hard enough, most people want them to come forward soft to be nice on paint

thanks chops and merry christmas to you to....

Well I know I have the right paint bore to barrel match and its moving back far enough to let balls into the breech on the first shot but then it just stops moving back far enough and that first ball isnt being shot hard enough to even make it out of the barrel. LMK and thanks chuck

You mentioned "the first shot". It's only happening on the first shot and all of the others are fine? I'm assuming you cock the gun before you air it up? Probably so because the valve is open if it's not cocked but I just thought I'd ask. I asked about everythime because it could also be that the "catch"(back thing that the block catches) on the cocking rob is set to far out and the hammer isn't getting pulled back far enough when it cocks. The lug on the bottom of them hammer may also not be down far enough and it slips off before the sear can catch it and hold it back.
Was the gun working properly before and it's just recently been messing up? If so think back to what you've done or changed on it. You may have unknowingly misadjusted something.

No...the bolt moves far enough back when its cocked for the first shot to let a ball in the breech then every other shot I try to take the bolt wont move far enough back to let the balls into the breech.

              Things to look at:

Your bolt, if it's not venturi (ie, if it has a single port of incoming air as opposed to radial holes) make sure the hole is facing down.

LPR, you said you have a P&P reg I'd guess you mean it's either a WGP Outkast reg, Palmer rock, or WGP Sledgehammer, anodized by P&P. The first two are externally adjustable. Simply adjust out (counterclockwise) until it does cock. Then adjust it in (clockwise) until it does cock. Then give it about 1/4 more of a turn in. That's generally perfect. If it's a Sledgehammer, adjusting the lpr is a little more complicated. Unscrew the lpr from the mounting screw. There's a slot in the lpr that will fit a standard screwdriver. I believe you screw it out (counterclockwise) to raise the cocking pressure. It's a bit of a pain b/c you need to adjust, reassemble, air up, test, then repeat if needed.

              Try these then repost.

              Later,

I had the same issues when I custom built mine. I have an ANS GENXII and I found that I had the pressure to low on that going into the gun. Boost it up to about 400 psi and see if that works. If not lube up the piston and try it again. If that doesn't LMK and I will try to give you some more ideas.

We talked on AIM last night and it seems like someone has the lug down to far. The sear isn't even letting the hammer go before the ram is actuated and recocks the gun.

Wow. They should have someone post a sticky on timing an autococker.
