    RT-custom Question

I just got my RT-custom for Christmas and like any excited little boy I wanted to try it out. Anyways, Im screwing in my tank and the second the gun pressurizes it fires a shot. I had the safety on at the time so there is no way I could have accidently fired it. This made me a little nervous but I decided to keep try it out anyways. So I ripped a few strings, then noticed a leak coming from the area of the valve. It might have been me not using enough teflon tape when setting up my macroline but before I had a chance to investigate it fully an something in my tanks valve blows and completely drains it

So I guess my questions are...

Is it normal for a RT to fire a shot when you screw in the air source?

If firing a shot like that is a problem would it cause a leak in the LX or X-valve?

Would any problem w/ the valve cause my tank to blow like that or is it just a horrible coincidence?

I confused and scared that there might be something wrong w/ my new gun so any help will be greatly appreciated

My marker fired a shot when I first got it too.. Hasnt done it since.. I wouldnt worry about it.

I have no idea what to say about your leak in the valve... perhaps it is a leak down the barrel? (carrier/shim issue)

Your tank issue is most likely coincidence.

Did you tune the LX, that could cause the leaking problem if you didn't tune it.

Ever since installing the ULT, my gun always fires once whenever it is gassed up. I can't say that I like this, but I have no idea how to fix it and it's not the end of the world. The important thing is knowing that it may do it, so always point it down in a safe direction whenever you gas it up.
