Lvl10 Velocity Problem

The Lvl10 has been working great on my emag, but now its not doing so well

My current set up is
Xvalve
3 Shims
1 line Carrier
Red (medium) spring

However with this set up i cant get it below 280fps now. Yes its freshly lubed.

I tried going to a carrier 1 dot wider, but then it leaks slightly.

If i go to the original spring it gets below 280fps but the bolt hits forward way to hard. Any suggestions?

Try cutting your middle spring.

I guess that could work but i'd rather not do something thats not eaislly reversable.

I would try a smaller carrier (I think there's one smaller than a 1 line) first, and then go to your "original" spring. Im not sure what you meant by "original" as the stock spring is smaller than the medium Lvl 10 spring, but whatever--just use a spring longer than the medium. Going to a wider carrier is just going to allow your gun to push the bolt faster...not slower (i.e., above 280, not below).

Basically, there are two ways of controlling how hard the bolt hits...and thats either a smaller carrier, or a tighter spring, or both. Try them one at a time and see what works.
