    Why the gap?

Let me start off by saying I think AGD makes the best all around guns: fast, reliable, durable,...you get the picture. All the parts on my gun fit like a glove, a beautifully crafter work of art; HOWEVER, what's the deal with the welding between the powerfeed and the mainbody. The welding is such that there is a gap between the PF and mainbody. I like everyone else hates paint in my barrel...even a little hurts the accuracy. With the gap there a hit in the PF or near it on the body and there's paint in the PF and then down the barrel. Why the gap? bad welding?

Me and all my other automag buddies have an oring around that gap. Should I take the Oring off?

The gap is just there from soldering the PF tube on. It's not a problem, its not a bad weld, it would just be hard to take two oddly shaped holes and connect them without the gap. The oring over the hole works. I never bothered doing it, but I have seen some people do it.

Don't take this as a flame because I don't mean it to be but, there is already a large hole in the powerfeed tube where you can see into the breach. What difference does a very tiny gap in the welds have when a hit to the powerfeed would get paint in through this hole anyway? I beleive that part of a powerfeeds design has to have an escape path for the blowback pressure to exit the feed tube, hence the reason for the larger hole. Yes the welds could be made to completely seal this gap, but I don't think it will make much of a difference. Just my opinion.
I've got quite a gut, I'm no spring chicken, but I can still play with the best of 'em. Oh, and by the way, that's my paint you're wearing.

If you ever send your gun in for work, they put an oring around the PF.

I'm not sure what kind it is, its the same thickness as a pf plug oring, but I don't think they'd stretch that much.

I sent my gun in for work (actually because my Powerfeed came off!) and I didn't get a ring put around it. Maybe it just depends on which tech does the work.

Techs put an oring around it to cover it up, potatoboy's PF fell off....hmmm maybe we're on to something here.

I don't think there's some big conspiracy going on here. Most guns that have a powerfeed model have some record of a few of them being bad and coming off, it's just part of the manufacturing process. However I don't think that the little gap there has any indication on the quality of the weld, and I've seen that little gap on almost every gun. It's just a side effect of welding to cylinders together at an angle like that. It should be fine to cover it up, I believe the powerfeed design only calls for the gas to be vented in the "window" at the top.

My power feed E-Mag came with the O-ring, as well as the Warp feed body I got for it.

Welding all around would build up a lot of heat, probably distorting the tubes.

I think those holes are for venting out blowback gas and paint from staying in the powerfeed.
