    68 Barrel Problems

I'm having troubles with my 16" Tear Drop Barrel and my Mag, When I go to remove the barrel, it takes two people to get it to come off. It appears to me like the O-ring is being pushed up by the nubin and is getting pinched between the barrel and the body. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

im not sure if you are new to automags or not, but you have to twist 1/4 turn in one direction (depending on feed tube) and yank out.

if that is not the problem- then you might want to replace the nubbin or make sure the nubbin is in all the way.

if that doesnt fix it- change the orings and the nubbin

if that doesnt fix it- ummmmmmmmmmm green beans
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

I have replaced the nubins and o-rings because when I pulled the barrel out it popped the o-ring off and I lost the nubin... Thanks though.. Anyother suggestions?

Are you using the plastic nubbins?
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I had a similar problem. However, it would come a little way out of the barrel, then stop because the o-ring came out of the groove in the barrel. If I pushed the barrel back in, then pulled it out it worked. Maybe put a little lube on the o-rings?

Check to see if the groove where the nubbin goes is allowing the nubbin and o-ring to sit down properly. Try another o-ring to see if it fits tighter into the o-ring groove. Put a bit of lubricant on the o-ring.

You might check to see if the front frame screw is threading up too far in the body. I had that problem when I had my powerfeed body and it was a ***** to get my barrel out. If it is, just file it down a little until you dont have the problem.

or adjust the pressure that the twist lock assembly puts out i had this problem with olds school AA there is just to big of a drop off in the locking part you can get to the twist lock assembly bye removing the grip frame make sure that it is still hard to pull out the barrel but easy enough so that you can do it without help!!
