    OT AGD online store ordering

Has anyone else tried to order from the online store with an APO address? I tried to order a Superbolt for me Emag and it showed me with over $1000 in shipping charges.

APO addresses go to Philadelphia or San Francisco and then the military takes over. I am sure it is a glitch in the webpage, but I am not about to sign over that kind of money on my credit card.

I tried ordering from a different computer and received the same error. I entered APO as the city and then using the drop down list for APO/FPO AP and the zip code was 96531.
The only shipping method it offered was UPS Next Day Air at $1,012.49.
I also noticed that you are now out of Superbolts. Just my luck. Do you know when the next batch will be out?

                Deep,

Bolts are back in stock but with a limited quantity. The program thinks you are half way around the world or something. What is an APO?

Actually I am all the way at the bottom of the world. I am in McMurdo Antarctica. APO stands for Air Post Office. It is a military address and all packages or mail go to a central military post office in the US and is routed around the world by military postal means. The postage is normally the same as it is for anywhere else in the US. Is there any way to have it sent by any means other than overnight air?

bah, It's the middle of summer down there, isn't it?

So where do you play paintball down there? And internet access? I was under the impression the that connections were very sparse.

Things aren't near as bad down here as they used to be. It is the middle of the summer here and the temperatures are getting up around 30 or 40 degrees regularly now. We have live TV (3 channels), telephones, and internet.
We do get the occasional good storm. We don't have paintball down here, but I am returning to New Zealand in a couple of days and I can play all I want up there.

As far as UPS is concerned, they CAN'T ship to APO or FPO addresses. Those are for the Postal Service only. (they are like PO Box addresses). When someone sends something to an APO/FPO address, they pay the rates for domestic mail (here in the U.S.), regardless of where the mail ultimately ends up. With UPS, they are probably quoting the price to take it there themselves,ha, ha,...impossible. Like I said, those addresses are for the United States Postal Service only, to provide a cheaper way to send packages, etc. to our service men in other parts of the world.
                              Hope this helps.
