    stock bolt question

I was just looking at my 2 classic valves and bolts. I noticed that the the center parts of the bolts were different. The part at the front..the thing that if i had to describe it it looks like a 3 point wheel, is positioned different on them. One of them comes out of the bolt a bit, while the other is flush with the end of the bolt. Which one is the normal one?

The one that protrudes is a longnose bolt and is what the recent mags have beed comming with. I Don't know about the other one, it might be a foamy bolt missing the foamy??

The bolt w/ the center piece protruding is the style bolt that came after the foamie bolt, then came the longnose.
