    help with identification

    Hello.

I just purchased a Automag RT. The guy I got it from says
he upgraded the valve to a level 10. How can I verify this?
Can somebody tell me what exactly I have?
    Valve number is RT01648

    Thank you.

look at the bolt- does it have a rounded back or flat back?

look inside the powertube- is there a carrier?
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

put your finger in the breech and shoot the gun. If it chops your finger off, you have a LVL 7 'Mag. If it doesn't hurt you, then it's a LVL 10. Ha Ha.

Actually the safer way is to take the bolt out of the valve and look at it.

Even easier, put the gun on a table next to a chocolate chip cookie. This is the only food item that will bring the magic little elves out of the LX bolt. If they come running out you have a LX if not, then LVL 7!

Ok. If you look at the back of the bolt, there is a rod that fits inside the power tube. If this small rod is hollow, its a level 10 bolt. If its not, then It's likely a level 7 (maybe even older...)

Bolt is flat. Looking at the picture( Level 10 guide )
I do not have the shims, and the carrier is one piece .
The picture shows shims, and looks like the carrier is
two piece.Mine is not like that.

              Thanks

you could put a squegee or something like that down the front of the gun and touch it to the bolt. Holing it there pull the trigger, did the gun fire or just go hissss click?
if it shot no level 10, if his click then you prob do have a level 10

The tip of the powertube on a level 10 has a wrench type slot.. The ones on the older bolts (or atleast mine) have a little slot in which a pennie or something fits into.
