    Set up help

First off let me tell you what I am running:
Classic Mag, X valve, ult, crossfire 72 4500 tank set at 850, 2.5 carrier with 2 shims it came with, on the ult I have 3 shims that it came with
    Alright here is the problem:
I gas up and it always fires one shot, and then it fires real good some times but then the bolt sticks and makes a loud I think its called caughing sound and some times I have to press the trigger forward for it to fire again.

    Any Ideas would be great.

bolt stick. use long spring, turn up velocity, and make the carrier as big as it will go without leaking.
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

DON'T use the long spring! Start with the small spring. Not all markers can be set up with the long spring. In fact, I see very few than work reliably when using the long spring.

What Causes the on/off pin to shoot out?

For some reason after shooting my gun the pin pushes out and I have to take the whole thing apart to get the valve out. What is something I can do to solve this?

that used to happen to me too, the pin would fall out and get stuck in the groove where the thing goes out to push the on/off

I could be wrong, but try pulling the trigger after you degas the gun. It should solve that problem.

After degassing the valve completely, pulling the trigger will push the on/off pin into the valve and allow you to slide it out easily.

                      Level 10- Start w/ a 2 carrier, no shims.

ULT- Start w/ 2 shims, work your way up.

                        Thank you Day Spring

What does it do by adding more shims to the ULT?

And I know to but the biggest carrier without it leaking but what do the shims do in the level 10? If I add to many shims to the level 10?

The level 10 shims allow the bolt to vent sooner in the event of a pinch or blockage in the breach. Most of the time you don't need any shims for it to work properly. Too many shims can cause random leaking if it pushes the carrier too close to the vent hole in the bolt.

Adding ULT shims will reduce the overlap between when the on/off pin closes and the sear releases the bolt. It makes the trigger feel a bit more crisp. Too many shims will allow the gas to continue to flow while the bolt is forward This can cause wastage and make your gun act and sound strange. (cough, cough)

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
