    barrel stuck...really stuck

I got a TASO 10" eliminater barrel stuck in my minimag. I oiled the Orings, Ive taken the trigger frame off. right now Ive got it down to body and barrel, bolts not in triggerframe bolt isnt in. and this thing aint budging. its not even in all the way. eeeeeeeyaaargh. Ive done a search for stuck barrel but they all had to do with the bolt or the triggerframe screw, nothin like this. this sucks

Can you turn the barrel at all? I got one of those eliminator barrels and the groove in the bottom of the barrel that locks into the mag body has a bump in it that sticks up too high. When you twist the barrel to lock it into place it really locks hard. My barrel has open slots in the end where you could potentially put something through like a coat hanger to help you twist if you need to for more leverage. Once you get the barrel off you may want to lightly sand the bump that locks the barrel into place so it is not so hard to twist back off.

are you sure nobody had fun with crazy glue?

Try dripping lube between the barrel and body. Twist back and forth and pull at the same time.

              if that doesnt work...

              The trick is in temperature...

try fooling around with youre freezer and oven. Diffrent metals expand at diffrent rates.

Im not sure if aluminum expands more than steel with temperature or vice versa.

Im too lazy to look it up.

              Careful dont burn youreself.

I think butterfingers has the right idea. Try dipping the barrel in Ice water to shrink the barrel a little bit. Don't try baking it because aluminum expands faster than stainless and it will get worse unless you can hit only the body with a heatgun. If the pin is out of the with the rail then there isn't anything holding it in except being wedged. You might also try some penitrating lube like liquid wrench but you will have to change the o-rings afterward. Good luck I have had one stick but never this bad.
