How much shootdown do you get on your classic? Mine drops to ~240fps after 10-15 shots at 7-8 bps

What might be wrong with mine then? I use a Centerflag hyperflow preset, an ASA that looks high flow enough and SS hose with quick disconnect. Dont think thats the problem, so it must be in the valve.

Had the same problem with my classic valve. Bought a new reg seat installed it and haven't had a problem since. I thought you could unscrew the two valve halves, but apparently this makes the reg seat go bad so install the new seat and don't unscrew the halves again until you have trouble again.

I have separeted the halves a number of times, so I guess it would be a good idea to replace it.

Unscrewwing the two parts makes the little yellow seal go bad? (im a newb) Is that true? In the video (ancient one) that came with my gun it encouraged taking those appart and simply wiping the little yellow seal (reg seat) with your thumb to keep it functioning.

I know it doesn't really make sense, but I used to take them apart and clean the reg seat. I would have shootdown quickly after changing to a new one. Now I don't seperate the two halves and don't have any trouble.

This is just my experience, but many on here have shared a similar strategy with me. Maybe others will post and give some more advice.

The regulator seat gets pressed when the valve halves are screwed together. It causes the seat to take a shape to properly fit the area it was designed for. If you take the valve apart and put it back to gether, it may change the position of the reg seat. Because it was forced to fit the position before, it may not work properly in its new position. This usually only occurs after the reg seat has been in the gun for a while. A new regulator seat is pretty flexible and won't permanently deform right away.
