    E-Mag on/off help.

I got a quick question on E-Mag on/off assemblies (and yes, I did search for this and found nothing)

I know for sure that my problem lies withing my on/off. What happens is I can get my gun to fire, but sometimes it will start leaking out the powertube tip when I fire. If I take my valve out and look at my assembly, my pin wll be sticking out and I won't be able to push it back in. If I take out my on/off assembly the black oring won't be on the pin and it will be in the on/off cavity but it won't be perfectly aligned with the hole (which is why I can't push my pin back in when it sticks out, but this also means my sear won't be able to push the pin up and seal the air chamber because the oring blocks the pin from going up) To fix this, all I do is put the oring back into the pin, reinsert the on/off, and gas up my E-Mag (which realigns my black oring then). My E-Mag will fire, but again, the same problem will happen after a few shots, where the pin will stick out and won't be able to be pushed up because of the oring. I've tried fixing this by tightening my valve field-strip screw, but the oring still gets unaligned sometimes....what can I do fix this?

I would try getting a new quad ring(the little black oring) for your gun and see if that helps. If that doesn't work I would have an AGD tech look at your gun. One thing I noticed on your post is that your getting the 3.0 software on your gun and I was just wondering what the difference was between 3.0 and 3.2? Sorry to go off subject.

Nope, that can't be the problem...I tried two different quad orings, neither of them work, up again before I go to school.

You didn't mention a larger urethane o-ring that holds the quad o-ring in place. If that is missing, the quad o-ring could get off center.

Edit: Is your valve an older emag valve with the recessed hole for the quad o-ring? If it is then it doesn't use the outer urethane oring, but then the quad o-ring should be held in place by the recessed hole.

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Its normal for the Quad to stick up in there and its not the cause of your problem.

Your regulator is not fully charging the valve each time. Two of the possible cuprits are on off oring sticking and regulator pin sticking or trash in it.

Take the back half apart and clean and oil the regulator pin assembly. Replace on off orings. Not the quad. the middle one. All of the others if you want to just be complete about it all. If you want to just try cleaning and directly oiling first before changing any of them then its worth a shot. Might even work!

You did not say anything about a level 10 so I am not going there at this point.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

Fixed, thanks you guys. Athomas was right, since I was using an older valve with no small hole for the black quad oring, I had to put a large urethrane oring around it to keep the quad oring in place. Cphllip, as for cleaning the regulator pin assembly, I'll do that if I notice that my E-Mag has a wide fps fluxation (since it is an older valve after all). Once again, thanks you guys.

Actually, if you don't have a recessed area for the quad o-ring, I think that means you have a newer valve. I know mine is an older valve and it has the recessed hole. It means that I can never use the ULT in my valve should I ever want to use the valve in a manual retro mag. You can use the ULT in yours though.
