Warp - how to know when the drive belt is toast

Just curious .. bought my warp used and am tinkering with it tonight for play tommorrow ...

I rememmber ppl saying that you need to replace them quite regularly ... i'm curious how you know when they need to be replaced?

2 ways

1) your warp doesnt spin anymore (you want to avoid getting to this stage. see number 2)

2) open your warp and check the belt. check for any thinspots or tattered edges. if you happen to find any, its time to pickup a new warp belt.
