    ULT and Low Reactivity

I recently purchased x-valve mag with the ult on/off installed, after about a month of use I can only get the trigger to react enough for 3-5 shot strings. From what I've read on the boards, it's my understanding that I can get better trigger responsiveness with the normal on/off valve. I know that the ult kit is a "drop-in" upgrade after the removal of various o-rings, my question is: Since my x-valve came with the ult installed, would the regular on/off assembly be a "drop-in" switch or would I have to purchase a parts kit for the additional o-rings? Thanks for the help...

Also, would I need to buy the on/off assembly for the rt or rtpro?

I would imagine that the on/off for the x valve is standard, but don't quote me on that. I don't think you'd need a parts kit either, but a quick call to AGD would clear that up. What kind of tank are you using? If you've got an adjustable tank, have you tried increasing the output pressure to see if that will increase the reactivity? I got virtually no reactivity out of my Bulldog II, but a max flo or a dynaflow is another story entirely.

I have a Crossfire preset at 800 psi, the AGD website doesn't have a on/off specific to the x-valve, only the rt or rt pro...

Well the RT Pro comes with the x valve now and if the RT refers to the classic RT, they aren't available anymore, so I'd go with the one for the RT Pro.

My Bulldog was an 800 preset as well, and I got no reactivity with that even with the standard on/off. Other people seem to have no problem with presets though. Do you have any friends with adjustable tanks who might let you try them out? It'd be nice to see if that made a difference before you got the other on/off assembly.

The question is- did you put it on an Emag/RT Pro or just put the Xvalve on a classic body rail?

If you did, the pin lengths are different.

ReTro/Xvalve- (This is if you put it on a classic valve rail) .750

          RT Pro- .765

The marker is the rt ule custom so I guess that it would be the rt pro rail? Correct me if I'm wrong, and no I don't know anybody with an adjustable tank...

If you want to switch back to the normal on off you would need the two orings as well as the entire stock on off. But it is a drop in reverse. Easy. And it will give you some more reactivity. But before you do... try removing some spacers from the ULT on off. And increase your input pressure too. To around 950-1000 PSI or something. And less spacers will give it a harder pull but more reactivity. Some anyway. But to reverse to a normal on off is realy easy if you have the parts. Very easy. The orings are in the RTP parts kit.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

Whoops! My bad. I thought they'd be included with the on/off. Sorry 'bout that.

I guess if he's using a preset tank, he's s.o.l. as far as that's concerned. Too bad no-one seems to make a preset with an output of 950 to 1000 psi. Adjustables are so much more expensive, but the higher pressure really helps a lot.

cphilip: Are you sure that I would need the two extra orings, I think that the new valves come with them. Here's a direct quote from the product description on AGD's site:

This is the On/Off Assembly for the RT pro. Comes complete with three orings, on/off top, on/off bottom and on/off pin .765 long. The longer on/off pin makes this assembly different from the Retro Valve On/Off.

If your not sure, I guess I'll just give them a call
