    Trigger batteries peeling?

I'm trying clean up an older E-mag, and the outside coat on one of the trigger magnets was peeling/flaking. I peeled it all off, and cleaned off all the metal shavings that were stuck to it as best I could... Is this any cause for concern? Is this a known issue? The only reference I could find here is http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=52128
