This is my first Automag,i've always used cockers....but i must say i completely love this gun,and I look forward to playing with it alot. THANKS

Could you show us a picture?

I believe that the smart box screws into the Mag valve where the air input hole is.

If that's the case, you should be able to simply unscrew the box and screw in the hose from your tank.

If you want to use it, let us know where it's leaking from. The fittings? In that case unscrew them and use some loc-tite or Teflon tape on the threads before screwing back in.

If it's leaking from somewhere else we'll need more specifics.

seriously the box is pretty much worthless. SP put up some big hype about it giving you extra range and junk like that. It is pretty much an expansion chamber. I would take it off. If you do I would be interested in aquiring it for my collection. PM me if interested.

I think it is a little more complicated than just unscrewing it. I pretty sure that there is piece threaded into the air chamber itself. I think when you got the magic box mod, the body had to be cut too. I had the Smart valve which was like having the box mod internally. It worked good, but I remember being mad about it costing me $300 for the only noticable difference was the laser inscribed smart mag logo on the reg.

I had a feeling that the Valve was modified in some way but it's been a long time since I've see one of these.

Perhaps Crosscheck51 will check back here and let us know.
