AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Thanks for bringing us up to date on this. Besides the valve being "junk" did they say
specifically what was wrong? Did they charge you for the replacement valve?
Luke,
It was the valve and put it this way...for all that they did to my gun and the SMALL amount that it cost me...It was so worth it.
AGD helped me out HUGE...and I hear that they love to keep thier customers happy...well I am very, very HAPPY!!!!!!
AGD....FOREVER

The problem is back!!! Now I have it. I just got a used automag. I am running co2 on a bottomline, into a 4 stage expansion chamber. I have been out 3 times since I got the marker. The first time I had to switch out all the o-rings because the marker would just cough and sputter out. The next two times out there has been this leak that sounds like it is coming from the bottom of the AIR unit, I would think from the on/off valve but with the thing under the rail there is now way to tell for sure. There is air coming out from the hole next to the field strip screw. There is no air leaking out the barrel. When I pull the trigger and hold it the leak is still there. I have changed all the o-rings through out the gun, ensured that everything is back in its proper place, gone through the forums to see if this issue has been addressed and came up with this string. The issue was resolved in this case by replacing the Hurrican valve with AGP one but in my case I have the stock valve. Because I think the problem is in the on/off value I will add two final comments before I ask for your assistance. I do have an aftermarket on/off top. I think it is an ANS product that looks like a crown. I have checked the pin and there doesn't seem to be any wear or abuse on it. Oh lastly I have a spring in the power tube, not a spacer, though I don't know if this would have anything to do with it as there is no leak down the barrel.
well they dont sell the springs any more so youll need a spacer kit one day..any way try replacing the on off orings and see how you go ..you do have a parts kit??

my situation is just about the same as Gibbs, the dude who originally started this post except that he resolved it by sending his mag into AGD and they determined that it was his aftermarket valve that was messing it all up.
I have the stock valve. I have replaced all the o rings in the on/off valve with o rings from a parts kit. In fact I have replaced all the o rings through out the marker. if there is something wrong with the on/off top, bottom or pin, I cannot see what it is (but for the fact that the exposed end of the on/off bottom is a little scarred and that it is not a stock top (I think it is a ANS top).
Any help would be appreciated. My next stop this morning is to a pro shop to see if they can lend a hand (maybe switch in some parts to see if that will stop the leak). I will keep the forum posted as to my progress on this.
well my personal experiences are just go and put all the stock parts back on....or buy them if u don't have them
i have found that the agd stock parts are better then all the aftermarket ones....
oil everything make sure it's all in good condition and in the right place.....if not send it into agd
just send it in to agd the`ll be only too glad to look at it
BEEFY.

Well I took the marker into a paintball shop and the dude there took the on/off valve off looked at things, put it back together and it continued to leak. Then he took apart the reg valve, cleaned the spring pack, re-lubed it and then put everything back together. NO MORE LEAK!!!
I am so jazzed now! So it sounds like from the experience that Gibb and myself had with a leak with the following symptoms:
-coming from the bottom of the marker, in the area of the on/off valve, with air escaping from the hole in the rail next to the field strip screw (if you have your asa mounted on the bottom).
-pulling and holding the trigger does not stop the leak.
Consider: Targeting your reg valve. In Gibbs situation it was a bum aftermarket reg ,in mine it was a dirty spring pack.
