i donno if the prob has been adressed before, but ill post it, i have the same post in offial level 10 thread, but its not getting any attention (mabey cause there are 28 pages of lx probs) but here it is:

"ok, me and my friend both got our X-valves at the same time, we oiled em up, put em in and adjusted till they fired, but after a shot or two, the bolt seems to not fully extend and makes an air puffing sound. It seems like im running on co2 or something becuase i can shoot like 1 shot per second or two normally, but any faster and the bolt seems as if it needs time to recharge, so if i try to fire more than 1 ball per second it's like the valve is out of breath,( if i put my ear to the vavle i can hear it recharge - sounds like air if filling the valve - "shuuuuuuch") im using a 68 3000 PMI tank, fairly new, the output says 850 on the website. im using a ULT trigegr too. different springs only made it stick, i have tried various carriers and shims, and messed with the velocity... and i think all that stuff is set right, i watched the quick intall vid for the L10 help ?"

definitely sounds like youre not getting enough air.

you sure it's not ur valve?
test it again with the level7 bolt on,
if it shoots ok, then it's definitely the level10.

im almost sure that you just havent found the right setup.

i would try my old bolt, but i tradeed in my valve, i still have the bolt, but no original power tube parts. i did the go-x program. i donno how i wouldnt be getting enough air, unnless a 4,500 psi tank is neccessary for x, becuase my tank was at 3k psi

Your tank reg wil bring it down to around 800 anyway, so it's not that.

well i know i have it installed right, im pretty good with pb guns, i put the backing washer, then my carrier with the o-ring in it, o-ring side down. (by the way i used a carrier that slid well, but was not lose or tight) then i put 2 shims, then the powertube cap, then the level 10 bolt with the short spring on it, and i put oil on the parts too...


prob still is when i shoot kinda fast i get 1 shot then the shots just puff out air, like 1/4 of a shot then after like 4 puffs it shoots a regular shot again, im waisting all my air trying to config the thing where i can actually use it, i used 2k psi then filled it, and another 1.5k already!

You might be havibg problems with your ULT as well as the lx. Try to isolate the problem 1st. ULT is prone to short stokin. What kinda trigger fram do you have.

Use a smaller carrier. Dont lube it when you fit the carrier and oring, it ill disguise the actual fit and minor leaks. Turn your velocity up one intil it fires.

maybe try a larger carrier, what size do you have inthere now(dot=.5, line=1 increments)?

but it really sounds like your velocity isn't high enough.

do you still have your stock on/off stuff... tune the lvl10 without the ULT first. Then toss in the ULT and tune that thing.

It may also be your shim combination. Try removing one or two shims (depending on how many you have now).

damnit, i think i'm super close to fixing it, but i ran out of air again, it costs 5.00 to fill at the local store...

BTW i have an intelliframe and im using a 1 ring carrier and 1 shim, as well as the sear that came with the valve, i have the regular on/off in right now too, and i think im really close.
