What determans open/closed bolt?

sorry that i cant spell....
that aside what determans open/closed bolt in a marker (why is closedbolt closed and open....well open?)

also why is closed more acurate then open (i heard because it reduces the amount of spin but on the ball and that causes less fricting in the barrel...but im really not sure if that is true)

Think of it this way, if the bolt closes the breach in the non fireing position then its closed bolt. If the breach is open when the gun is in the non fireing position then its open bolt. For example if you were to look down the feed of a spyder you would see that the bolt is behind the breach, and the ball can drop into the breach at any time. If you look down the feed of an autococker you will see that the bolt is keeping the breach closed, so the ball can not drop into the breach.

As for the second part of your post, closed bolt is not more accurate. It nothing to do with the amount of ball spin, because there is no (consistant) ball spin, unless you are using the flatline barrel system. It also does not reduce the friction (<that's how you spell it) of the barrel. Why would it? Your bolt has no affect on how the ball travels through the barrel.
