    Locking out Hybrid/Mech modes

I know some people have talked about doing this in the past, but I haven't really seen how you can go about locking out the other firing modes on the E/Xmags. Some people might ask why, but my Emag has sever bounce in mech and hybrid modes that would get me pulled by a chrono judge. The only place that my selector switch shoots completely without bounce is "reverse emode" where the selector is facing the rear of the gun. I'd like to be able to lock it down there(but not permanently). Any ideas?

well the only thing that i think you can do stop the hybrid mech mode is actually removing the sear rod. besides that i dont think that there is anything else you can do.

you can also remove the selector lever and replace it with a stack of washers.

I have seen that done in the past by some teams

You can drill a small hole and make a thread in the selector switch. then you drill a small hole in the frame not deep just 0.5mm or so in the frame alligned with threaded hole in the selector switch. Then insert a screw with a sharp edge at the end of the screw. What this does is an lockeble selector switch. I'w done this on my x-mag and its locked in e-mode so nu issues with the marshalls on the feild with the hybryd stuff is gone.

Many fields will not allow you do that since the proper chrono procedure must be done using the manual mode on a Mag.

The simplest method is to tune your trigger to not bounce in Hybrid. To do this, set your HES for the earliest possible activation in the pull and then set the trigger stop for the shortest pull this allows plus a little for reliable function. If it still bounces in Hybrid, back in the trigger rod a half turn at a time till it stops bouncing in Hybrid. It shouldn't take much and should still fire in manual. If done right there will be a fair amount of take up in the pull during the manual trigger yet still fire.

But that wolud produce two shots in one trigger pull in hybrid. One early by the electronincs and one by the end of the pull by mechanichs. So one pull one shot rule would be violated. this is a hard nut to crack.

It's much harder to pick up that way though, since they are drastically different weighted pulls. And at least theres no full auto bounce.

                  A third option!

Hi, I have a blade trigger from Ryan at Logicpaintball. His replacement trigger is very nice and it has an adjustment screw within the trigger to allow the trigger rod to actually go into the trigger so you can refine the spot the trigger rod will be pushed for activation. The farther the screw is turned in the closer to the trigger rod for quick shots in Hybrid mode. If you back the screw out toward the front of the trigger or take it out completely then the trigger rod has nothing to hit and you cannot get any bounce in Hybird mode thus basically making the marker work only in E-mode. I highly recommend this trigger. I can even walk it!! (I don't walk triggers to save my life). Just my 2 cents. Good Luck.

They are nice triggers,I have one as well. The adjustment screw is handy and has the same effect as adjusting the trigger rod only simpler.
