    Emag Conversion

I know some one who wants to convert a classic mag into an e-mag what does he have to buy? Is it even possible?

It is possible, but I and many others wouldn't recommend it. You have to buy the emag/xmag grip frame, solenoid, plunger, rail, battery pack, board, etc. Or instead of buying a new rail, you could have the classic rail milled to fit the emag frame and battery pack but that's a lot of money. You also have to have experience in soldering because you'll need to wire everything together and you can possibly fry the board if you don't know what you're doing. I don't know how much all of this will cost exactly, but I would just buy a used emag for like 700.

Yeah, you could get a hyper frame or a boo-yah frame. And then you could trade in the classic valve for an x-valve and you'll be able to rip, for a lot less.

You would have to buy everything on the emag except the valve. Even then you would still have to buy an emag on/off assembly. A new emag would be cheaper.

If you want an emag, buy a good used one. Then sell your automag to help offset the cost.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
