Newbie Mag questions....

Ok, First: What is the difference between the minimag and standard mag valve assemblies?

Second: How do I find out if my mag is a level 7, is the a certain serial number that it started at, the SN on my valve assembly is MM20416?

Third: I have heard of problems when installing the LX bolt on a pre level 7 mag. Would I just need a new spring kit and reg piston to get the mag and LX working together?

There is no difference beyond the actual writing on the valves.

All Minimags were level 7, there were only a few original automags that were level 6.

You probably won't have a problem, but if you can't get your velocity up you may have to replace the reg piston. I did, but my minimag valve was much older than yours.
