Howdy,
First off just want to thank everyone for the help in my newbie question post. Everything is pretty much answered, and my original idea was scrapped overnight =D I plan on buying the RT mag from the site along w/ $20 trigger upgrade. My question here is pretty general, and more curious than anything. I have never owned a automag. The guns I have owned in the past are:
- 3 tricked out spyders (original, compact, special edition)
- and *deep breath* A Bob Long Evolution MiniCocker w/ custom left powerfeed.
The spiders I liked because of the simplicity. I like KNOWING how my gun works and having the confidence to fix it. If I had not been such good friends with the guy I purchased the autococker mentioned above from, its the last gun I would have gone with. To me, it feels like im shooting something with 1000 moving parts and any second its going to break and I wont have a clue....
So anyway, one reason I looked to automag was its simple look, and reliability that I had heard about from friends of the past. I can tell that it is not NEARLY as complex as far as parts and repairs go compared to autocockers, so thats a plus.
The question:
What sets Automag above, or at least, what are they better at than compared to other leading semi automatics? And to be more specific, what makes the RT (new model) better than the other lines of automags (except Emag). I obviously wouldnt be setting my sights on this gun if I didnt know SOME of the reasons, but id like to hear others as well.
Thanks!
