LX working but a ?

Ok gun came setup with .5 carrier, one shim and the short spring. After playing around, I got this setup working: 1.5 carrier, one shim, and the medium spring (had to increased vol). Carrier 2.0 leaked after a few shots or when slight pressure was applied to the trigger.

With either setup I was able to chrono at 280fps. Neither would chop a ball. I did notice that the bolt speed was a little faster with the short spring of course.

Sense I had to increase the pressure with the medium spring will this create less shots per fill? Would it be better to keep the short spring setup? Thanks

Having a longer spring will use more air, but I don't think it will be a very big difference.

That's truly the question.

You won't use "much" more air but your gun will stop shooting with a higher pressure left in the tank w/ the longer spring.

Or

Less chance of chopping with the longer spring over a shorter spring.

You have to decide what's for you.
