On/Off pin not resting, air not getting to valve?

Yea, I need to know somthing. My ON/OFF pin isn't reseting and I don't think air is getting to it I don't know why. Can someone list reasons why and how to fix it.

Here's one thought. Do you use Teflon tape with your gun? You may have gotten some into the on/off assembly. Take the on/off out and take the two orings out and see if anything is blocking that air passage. If not take your valve halves apart and see if anything is blocking that air way.

If this isn't happening try oiling the orings very well so the on/off pin can move easily. If one of these two solutions don't fix it it probably isn't an on/off problem. DO you have level 10? If you pull the trigger and nothing happens you might need to go one carrier size larger.

When did it stop working? What was changed or adjusted?

        - Bolt stick can hold the sear down and prevent the on/off pin from pushing the trigger forward.

        - A worn regulator seat o-ring can prevent air from getting to the on/off pin.

        - Is the velocity turned up?
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I remeambered that right after I posted. Well, I rubbed down the reg seat cleaned it up made sure the spring was working fine, oiled the on/off,and checked to see if there was any teflon in the valve (few small strips fell out).

Did it work after you were done?

Quite often, if you take a regulator seat out, you should replace it with a new one. They won't always position themselves correctly if they are reinstalled. This is especially true for older seats.

A possibility is that the on/off pin may be too long. I had that problem when I first built my gun. However, if your gun has worked before this and you havent changed out the pins, I doubt this is the problem :)

The little silver thing, pin, that comes out of the bottom of the valve that pushes the sear down and is pushed up when you fire.

Don't feel stupid Kev. My guess is you are just starting out with mags. I have trouble understanding them. In time you will understand. It seems to be working desently now,but after heavy fire or very slow fire it has a small leak but if I put some pressure on the trigger it usaly stops. Should I add some more length to my trigger rod?

If it worked before without leaking and now it leaks I would say the pin length is fine. Also since this is a classic valve there usually aren't issues with pin length on that valve. My guess would be one of the on/off orings. Also, make sure you lube everything good after replacing orings.

I think thats a shim leak. How many shims are in your LX? Also it might be a carrier leak, switch down one.

I think it is near the bolt. I am using the carrier with one line and no dots. I am not using any shims.
