    Anyway to Conserve Air?

    Hi Folks,
I just got my 88ci 3000PSI HPA tank today. I brought it out to my closest Paintball store and the gladly filled it for me. After going through about 30-40 shots, my pressure has dropped to 2,200 (pretty close). I am indeed using a lvl 10 with the smallest spring. I don't have a crono so i don't know what I am shooting. The tank is preset to 850PSI output. My only concern is that I won't have enough shots to make it through a day of an easy 600 balls. I am using a 12 Inch Smart Parts Venturi Barrel.

Should I change to the next size up spring and crank the velocity?

    Suggestions?

    Thanks,
    abartjc

    tank might be leaking.

when you have a lot of air in it, take some soapy water (extra soap) and spray the reg on the bottle. If it starts blowing bubbles from somewhere you got a leak.

Well, that and the fact that HPA tanks usually have a pressure settling period, after filling, which is when the tank cools down, and pressure can drop down a bit.

For starters, I'd check the paint/barrel match... make sure that's good... But that would go back to the whole 'what is your velocity' thing.

Switching to a heavier spring will only further decrease efficency, IIRC.

A Barrel with less porting should also help with efficency.
