    Sweet Spot...

Well, i have been reading a few posts... and i was wondering what the true definition to the mag "sweet spot" really is. I thought it was when you got the bolt to bounce but i guess i was wrong. Here is my setup:

    Minimag with:
    ule body
    ule trigger
    inteliframe
    x-valve

It's when you find the sweet spot on your trigger and it bounces back and forth. It doesn't work with the ULE trigger though.

Oh yes it does. I have 3 ult and 2 lx shims in mine, if I add 1 more ult shim I get an easy sweet spot, 1 more and I have runaway. I'm running a 92/4500 crossfire. It's funny but with the 68/3000 NitroDuck it didn't do this.

It works better if you have an adjustable tank right?

ok.. so a bouncing trigger is normal? This forum is very confusing.. i was told that it is bad. I know some fields do not allow it but the field I play at does allow it..

A bouncing trigger is good but at most fields sweet spotting is not considered good....its basically full auto

It's considered a bad thing because it's cheating - more than one shot per trigger pull - and it's supposed to cause premature wear on your sear & bolt (correct me if I'm wrong) if you do it a lot. It's kinda fun to screw around with runaway, but I don't want it when I play.

People say it causes premature wear on the bolt and sear, but that's crap. I mean if you shoot 20 bps compared to 10 bps you will obviously wear down the bolt and sear faster. I don't see how 2000 rounds of sweet spotting will wear down the bolt and sear faster than you shooting 2000 rounds just by pulling the trigger once a second. If there is any wear it certainly isn't enough to do any damage.
