having the strangest problem... with feild strip screw

ok i have never had problems before... but ever since i got the ule body im having weird problems... ok first i can get it to work but its really really picky... but from what i can tell the problem is with the feild strip screw but i could be wrong. ok i turn my gun on and i get a leak down the barrel. turn air off loosen the feild strip screw a bit and then air leaks from the bottom of the valve some where not sure where i think its from the on off area though... now if i mess with it enough it all goes away for the time being until i degas and regas my gun again and then i must start all over

im running an xvalve with level 10 and a ule trigger. it has the iframe and ule body as well and im useing a preset 800 psi tank and like i said i had non of these problems till i got the ule body

try putting the standard body back on again, just to see if it leaks. If it dosent leak then it is a tolerance issue with your ULE, is the mainbody screw O.K. Has it ever been overtightened?
-also make sure that the ball detent isn't catching the bolt, that could also cause leaks if it is in too far, or broken.

alright as of now im out of air but ill get some tomorrow and see what happens... you think the front screw that holds the frame could be an issue if over tightened? cuase just last friday 4 days ago i shot over half a case through it with no problem once i got it working... like i said ill mess with it tomorrow and let you know whats going on ... thanks for the help so far

could be a problem if it was stripped, and not holding the body to the rail properly.

Make sure you have the rail bushing, which is the spring steel tube that goes in the hole for the field strip screw and centers the grip frame on the rail.

You can lower you PSI if you have an adjustable. Or take out a ULT shim. Mine is at the point of sweetspotting with one more shim I get runaway. I have 2 LX and 3 ULT shims installed. I'm running a 92/4500 Crossfire 800psi. When I sweetspot, the revvy cant keep up. I hear the LX activate every so often.

hmm thanks deerchaser i may actually try installing another shim in my ult to see what happens but theres no extra wear and tear on the sear pin or anything like that is there? if there is how long will it last if im almost in runaway but not able to sweetspot?

I dont think the wear would be any different. Of course with a higher ROF you will wear sooner only because your shooting more in a given time period. 5 shots per second vs 12, you have 7 more cycles than what you use to have. See what I mean?

yeah i understand i was just thinking that if im basically able to bounce the trigger way faster then i can normally pull if there would be any abnormal affects on the sear pin or anything else... mind i am not sweetspotting... so basically just pulling really fast either way the first thing to go would be the sear pin and thats only like 6$ and i can afford that
