    ----reg problem-----PLEASE HELP

I have a brand new minimag. When I played last sunday I chroned in at 249,247,and 248. But after 2 games when I rechroned I was shooting around 200. this happened maybe 3 times, all after 2 or so games. I checked all of the o-rings everywhere, ran some oil through it and checked the on/off. I know that it is difinitly the reg.

I don't think that it is the volosity adjuster backing out, but that is a possibility. When I got the gun the MINIMAG writing on the valve was not matching up. the MIN 2 or 3 millimeters lower than the IMAG. Is that the problem?

Right now I am saving up for a hyperframe or a logic e-frame (when they come out), would it just be better just to get an ANS phase 2 reg?

dont get the ans phase 2, it does nothing.
is the gun new, or just new to you?
tell us more about your current setup. what are you using for gas air/co2, does it have a level 10, or ult?

could be the Co2. Co2 can cause velocity spikes, you should get a expansion chamber if you want to get any kind of consistency from co2.

well it was an indoor place, and on my spyder I never had spikes. I don't think that spikes are as consistent as 249,247,248.

It could be that your velocity adjuster is backing out...if you barely turn it, it causes a big change in velocity.

what would I do to stop that?

but does the MIN and IMAG not lining up make a difference at all, because I made it so they do line up. Was that bad?

It really doesn't matter if they're lined up or not. I'm not positive that the velocity adjust is backing out, but it very well could be. If you get a tourney lock for your mag, it'll make sure that it doesn't move.

                    i can't, there arn't any fill stations.

should I get the level 7 cap, or the tournament lockdown.

Get a lockdown for the velocity adjuster rather than just a cap.

Usually the adjusters don't move, especially when the gun is gassed up. The velocity adjuster can move very easily when the gun is not gassed up though. It doesn't take much of a turn to change the velocity quite a bit. Maybe the threads are a little more loose than normal.

Don't worry about the letters not lining up. Its normal.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

but do lockdowns prevent the volocity adjuster from backing out? I thought they only made it so it could not go in any further.

They work both ways. It's pretty hard to reduce the velocity with a tourney lock on, just as you can't increase it either.
