On/Off Pin and shortening it (HELP!)

I was told to take off 5 thousands of an inch from the pin, and I started to do this and realized I was grinding the wrong end.... anyone know whether I've just hosed this pin and will have to replace it? Took about 2/1000 of an inch before it dawned on me that I'm an idiot.

I would never mess with the on/off pin if I were you, but its too late. You can buy a new on on AGD Online Store. www.airgun.com. Since you want a shorter one, you can buy one shorter. And what valve do you have?
WANTED: Y-Grip in good condition. X-Valve, or Retro Valve. PM me if you're selling one.

AGD tech support told me to grind it down because the trigger has no "reactivity" - my mistake was to grind the wrong end.... Anyway, talked to them again today and they're sending me a new pin. This is for X-Valve, btw.

Ok, if you were using the classic valve it would have been a no no to shorten the on/off pin. Just curious, are you getting a shorter on/off pin for more reactivity, or are you getting the same size?

John @ AGD suggested that I get the .740 length, so that's what they're sending. And this will be for more reactivity - right now, there's isn't any at all. It shots as if it's a classic valve. So, I'm hoping the shorter pin will cure that.

Yeah, A shorter pin will increase the reactivity. You should be able to tell once you get it.

I sure hope so! That was the whole point for me getting the X-Valve. Everyone else has reactive triggers and I've found that I'm at a disadvantage w/o it.
