    Having a prob with warp on/off + LED

    Well im trying to hook up my warpfeed with a on off switch but also have a LED so that when the switch is on the LED is also on. heres whats happening. When i have the LED in the seqeunce it starts off REAL dim, but when i push the button on the warp it gets real bright but the warp doesnt turn at all (the switch is in the on the position the whole time). If i take the LED out of the sequence and just have the switch and the warp it works perfect. Any ideas?
    heres a pic:

    What voltage are you suppose to run that particular LED on?

    Taking mags apart is fun, its even more fun when you don't know what you're doing

      not sure i threw the package away =(
      but im just curious to why its taking ALL the power away from the warp

        The LED has too much resistance and will not drive the motor. Bad idea anyway because it will drain the batteries faster.

          thought a cool blue LED would look good but i guess not!
          ill just stick with the on/off
          thanks tom

            You can wire in the LED after the switch,

            You may need a risitor to help the LED out, the 9vt of power may be too much for the little led to handle.

            I know when I wire in my switch, and the 12vt reg I had to add a risitor to the led so it wouldn't get too much power and burn out, if I rember right I added a 470ohm risitor to the circute of the LED .

              the LED was after the switch
              it went like this
              Batery-->Switch-->LED-->Warp

                the LED probably wants only a couple of volts. Tom said that the LED is providing too much resistance. Maybe not such a high power LED? if you added a resistor inline, that would be bad for the warp right?

                Now, i know nothing about electronics, but how about running a 2nd set of wires off the on/off switch so that the flow the warp is getting hasnt already powered an LED?
