    FPS adjustments

Hi, another stupid question coming your way...

How do you adjust the FPS on automag with the x valve? Its hitting about 290-292 FPS and I need it down to 265 for my local field. Thanks!

like any mag the velocity adjuster is on the back. the xvalve's is the silver cylindrical piece with a alen wrench key in the middle. find a wrench that matches the hole and turn the whole thing, in for increase out for decrease in velocity.

if you are using a level 10 you may have to use the smaller spring when running at lower velocity. the smaller springs require less pressure to operate.

Oh ok, so that's what that is. I thought that was the piece to take off to get in the back of the valve. What kind of spring kit do I buy, or would I just buy that automag repair kit thing? I'm such a mag newb

the xvalve should have come with all the parts you need to tune your level 10, various carriers, some orings and 3 bolt springs; long, medium and short.

-try getting the velocity down by just turning the adjuster first. maybe you wont have to change anything

Well I bought the gun used so i don't have any extra parts for the x valve. I also wanted to ask what sized allen keys do I need for the automag? I want to buy a set, but I want to make sure I get the right size. Is there american and metric allen keys?

            1/8 inches

you should get the parts from the guy you bought the gun from, if you play long enough you will eventually need them.

Be sure to register you gun with AGD (www.arigun.com). They will give you all the support they can. You can get springs and other stuff you need for the care and maintenance of you Mag from their website or you can call them and get some good answers to your questions.

Welcome to AO! Glad to have ya.

Yeah I am becoming a big fan of them. Kinda wish I would have waited before buying my dragun and saved for an emag or xmag.

WEll, maybe one day you'll sell your dragun and get an e-mag. I've decided to sell all but one of my other guns and just enjoy working and playing with my 68 classic.

Is there a way to check if your auto is already registered? I think I registered my valve a while back but am unsure.

eh, register it again. It won't hurt anything. You can make a note in the comments section that you think you might have registered it before. I'm sure they won't mind.

or you can jsut call them to register it or make sure you did.

ask the guy if he has the spare parts, you'll need them
If not you should call AGD and you might have to buy a whole nother level 10 so you have all the spare parts.
I knew not what I did but am now edumacated
