I bought this gun from a friend who said it wasnt workin and sold it to me for 50 bucks. I took it to my local outdoors store and he said the only thing wrong with it was that the rt was goin to fast and i needed to turn that down. How do i do that? please help if u can, thanks a bunch!

If you mean by "going to fast", that you can find a spot on the trigger where the marker goes full auto, you need to lower the input pressure, or getting a longer on/off pin. Is it an RT or an RT-Pro? If you have an RTP, getting the ult would eliminate the problem as well.
BTW, welcome to AO -
lol i have no idea what u just said, i owned a 98 b4 this so this new fancy automag stuff is all crazy. How would i go about lowering the pressure? just by doin it on my regulater? and thanks for replyingComment

Ok, sorry for being unclear.
I assumed that the problem was that you could "sweetspot" the trigger. It's similar to bounce on an electro. You find a spot on the trigger, keep a steady pressure on it, and the marker goes full auto, or fires several shots. If this isn't the problem, you need to explain better.
By regulator, do you mean an inline regulator? You don't want to use that on an RT. If you mean that you have an adjustable tank, that's golden. Just lower the output pressure from it, and that will eliminate the sweetspot problem.
I wondered if you had an RT or RT-Pro. They are two somewhat different markers.
This is an RT:http://www.airgun.com/museum/RT.htm
This is an RT-Pro:http://www.airgun.com/museum/RTPRO.htm
If you have the RT-Pro you can install the ULT:http://www.airgun.com/ult.shtml, which will eliminate sweetspot problems also. It can be installed in an RT as well, but that requires some machining.Comment

It is an rt, not a pro, and the guy at the shop said their was a way to just slow down the "rt vavle" so that it wont keep choping balls, i have a nitro tank, i dont think its ajustable, and i have a lil coiled remote but i dunno what i can do with thatComment

Ok. You need to be more clear about what your problem is. Is it shopping? easy fix, buy a lvl10. Going full auto? You might have a on/off pin that's too short. Look att this diagram, and you will see what I mean by on/off pin. The on/off pin should be at least .750", if it's even .005 too short it can be an issue. Take your on/off pin out and measure it.Comment

Just a little un-clear, its a possibility that there are some confused terms here.
Joni has given you good advice on the "sweetspotting" issue.
Are you sure it's not just a really high Velocity? Just a thought. If thats the case, turn the velocity nut at the back with a allen wrench counter-clockwise.
