    level 10 bolt

Being new to Automags I don't know much about them yet. I am piecing one together which has already cost me more than if I had bought a complete marker off eBay but where's the fun in that? I still don't have the valve nor anything else behind the bolt. My questions are: 1. which spring, if any, does the lvl 10 bolt come with? 2. Can I get a classic valve with a ult, or is that more bolt/sear related?

The lvl10 kit comes with a bolt, three different springs and all carriers, shims and orings that you need. The ult will fit into a classic valve, but it isn't designed to function with it.

If you want to use the ULT get an x valve, performs better than a classic valve & comes with a level 10 kit already installed.

If you a building a gun you may not be satisfied with the weight (classic valves are heavy; stainless steel) or lower performance of a classic valve (classic valves have a longer and not as crisp trigger pull, don't recharge nearly as fast as xvalves, nor do they have the rt effect). I know if I build a mag I want to only use the best parts throuought the entire project. Also the price a classic valve plus a level 10 and a ult will cost almost as much as an xvalve...

what parts do you have so far?

The ult will work FINE with a classic.
There was a thread with the ult being used on a classic will it ripping.

if i can find the link i would post it.

Everyone else pretty much said everything.

I know which thread you are talking about, and the ult did work great on THAT classic. I made a poll when I considered getting the ULT for my classic. Some people had gotten it to work, and others hadn't.

Thanks for the responses. I've been away all day.
I have a left powerfeed SS body with a few barrels, I got an intelleframe comming in the mail, and a level 10 bolt just arrived with the silver spring clipped though it was listed on eBay as brand new. I don't have anything behind the bolt yet and don't really need the extra speed that the RT/X valve offers. I do however like the reactive trigger idea very much but I want to stay with Co2. I also can't justify spending $250 on a valve no matter if it can dry the dishes.
Will the X valve work as a valve-only at Co2 pressures, just not using the reactive trigger until I get HPA?
            Thanks,
            Marlan

              No, you can't use co2 on a X-valve

BTW, one end of the silver spring is clipped when brand new. You got one of the earlier lvl10 kits, the later ones had a red spring that was not clipped for length. It is no big deal, I have been using the clipped silver one for over a year with no trouble.

Only classic/minimag valves can use co2, anything that has RT action to it must use HPA.

Thanks for your educated answers. You guys are great and I'm looking forward to using my mag. Now for the $64,000 question: Where can I go to get the rest of what I need without breaking the bank?(valve, spacers, bumpers, peanuts, soda......)?

I have to use the classic valve too (CO2). I wish AGD would make a lighter valve that is CO2 compatible

One other thing to get for Lvl 10

                      marfish,

What Joni said is technically correct but on my Mag I absolutely needed to add the new Lvl 10 rated regulator body to get it to work well. My reccomendation is to order one new from the AGD website with your Lvl 10 parts kit.
Automag, Level 10 Upgrade, Intelliframe, Extended Power Feed, ANS PhaseII Regulator body, Smart Parts 14" All American, ACI Bulldog HPA, 12V Revolution, and lots of paint!
