    hpa with a co2 backup?

Hi, I just bought my first minimag. I plan to use HPA. However, the place I play once my HPA runs out, i won't be able to refill it, since it is on a friend's land some distance from civilization. I was wondering, can I go ahead and use an x-chamber as a front grip? That way when my HPA runs out I can just switch to CO2. Will having an x-chamber affect my use of HPA at all? I was planning on getting the Benchmark x-chamber w/ the swivel base so I don't have any issues lining it up. I would appreciate any feedback.

Sometimes the X-chambers restricts the flow of air, but in this case I don't think you'll have a problem. I'm running an X-valve with WGP Worr Gas and an ACI 4 stage X-chamber as a foregrip (I have the same issue and want to be able to drop my Classic Valve in and run Co2) and don't have a problem. But I think the more stages you have in the X-chamber the more restrictive it may be. Of course I could be wrong.

Thanks! I think the benchmark only has 4 chambers, so that should be okay ?

Well, reasons like this are why I always used to bring my mag and one of my tippmanns. If my mag ever runs out of HPA, I had a nice CO2 chuggin' Tippmann to use until I could refill.

        Nowadays, I have a devoted CO2 mag.

I have a tippmann a-5 rt w/ flatline, but I just got my minimag, kinda hate not to play with it exclusively, just wanted to be sure a x-chamber won't hurt my hpa performance...I'll always have my a-5 for a backup

You could use macroline/braided steel and hook the hpa directly to your valve and then when you switch to co2 hook some lines up to the x-chamber... :)

I have 2 mech mags, one is a woodsball/scenario/all-around-backup gun and the X-valve is mainly for the speedball fields. I keep the Backup running Co2 and the X valve on HPA. But like you usmc I like to have the "ability" to run Co2.

PS- I would stay away from Macro/Micro lines personally, they tend to develope leaks with the slightest bump.

personally, i got rid of all my co2 tanks and bought a scuba, can play all day.

as for macrolines, ive never had one leak from a bump.

only had problems with them when they sit in the sun with co2 in them.

hpa is way safer/consistent than co2, get a scuba.

Thought about a scuba tank, but I heard you only get a few decent fills. Something about the scuba tank can only do fills at or below it's current pressure or something like that.

A lot of guys on my team run screw-in HPA tanks when we play tourneys but use CO2 when we we can't get HPA. It just takes some setting up.
