Is there such a thing as an inline check valve?

You know, with 1/8NPT that you could put in a your air system to pressure from flowing back into your tank?

Hmm the second one looks like it might be the ticket. I'm just looking for a check valve that will work with a small pressure differential.

Nope I don't think that's right. What I'm looking for is a simple check valve-like a brake bleeding tool.

A passive device that only lets the air go one way.

Like if you blew into one end air would go through but if you blew in the other end no air would go through.

Basically they both do that but not continously.

The slide check passes both directions till you 'slide' it,then it blocks the air on one side and vents the air on the other.

The Pro connect does that also and adds a disconnect.

It might help if I know what your intended purpose was.

Perhaps I could slide the slide check one way and run it like that?

Ok it sounds silly, I'm setting something up with dual bottles and do NOT want both bottles to be 'connected' because they may be set for different pressures and I don't know if putting higher pressure backwards on a tank would hurt anything.

I want to install checkvalves just downstream so that never happens. And if one tank is higher pressure than the system will use the higher pressure tank entirely before it uses any from the lower pressure tank.

I'd also want to set one just downstream of my ASA so if I do a quick bottle change I do not lose the gas in the marker. But I do not want to have to do anything to it.

K, I'll start by saying, yes it does sound silly.

Also, niether of the items I posted will work for you.

What kind of bottles are we talking about,CO2..HPA?

I'm assuming this will be a paintball contraption?

I don't see a problem connecting 2 CO2 bottles together, the reverse pressure should have no effect. They will just equalize and feed equal pressures as though it was a single larger tank much like a twin Scuba set up.

HPA's may be a problem only because of the Regs.I'm only guesssing but I think that the recharge would be effected adversly if there was constant HP in the line from the opposing tank,it may be slow it down quite a bit,but I'm really not sure, but I don't think the valve your looking for will help with that problem either.

As for changing bottles, the slide check will work for you there,'sliding' will vent pressure from the tank side and allow it to be replaced without de-pressurizing the line and other tank.

yes, they do make what you are looking for.

here is a link to a low pressure one that I found there are high pressure ones too< you will just have to look.

we use 1/4 ones at work that have a rating of 2500psi with a 1psi break pressure, but I cant find the supplier. they are out there
