    new valve questions

I am interested in a new valve. I plan to get the ULT Trigger. Now here are my questions:
    1.Is the x-valve a retro with a lvl 10
2.Can i get either without buying a lvl x because i already have one
3.Abuot the bounce thing, can i turn that down to a legal level?
I am not sure how the whole valve thing works, extra info would be great.

    Welcome to the forum.
    1. Yes, the x-valve is a retro and lv 10.
    2. I don't know if any stores will be selling them but you can probably pick up a used one in the classified section of the forum or on ebay.
    3. I dont know much about this but i think its adjustable.

Automag valves work by your air going into the regulator at the back of the gun so that its pressurized. When you pull the trigger it releases the bolt and pushes open the on off(i think). Then the air goes forward into the bolt pushing it althe way forward untill it reaches a point where it exits the bolt.

The RT effect is controlled by the input pressure of the tank.

It's completely tourney legal in stock condition. When modified, it will bounce.

If i have a pre-set tank could i ever turn it up enough to make it bounce? And how much would only a retro valve be new or used?

No. The preset tank is just that. Preset at a specific PSI output.

Adding a regulator won't do anything either. You regulate down, never up. (Can't go higher than what the tank puts out.)

ReTro valves were replaced by the Xvalve, an all aluminum version that comes with the Level 10 anti-shop system. Those are $225 with the trade in of your current valve to AGD. $325 otherwise.

You can usually pick up an older ReTro valve here, as somebody's looking to sell their RT valve & get a classic & cash.

              Close to 950-1000psi.

And no preset tank puts that much out.

The X-valve is a retro with a lvl 10 but the X-valve is made of aluminum parts instead of stainless steel. It makes the valve SO much lighter but also less durable, I prefer to stick to my classic(I love the thing)

Short of wrapping it around a tree, I wouldn't worry about it being made of aluminum. We're talking aircraft aluminum type stuff here. The valve can take a total of 3000psi (in case a tank discharges EVERYTHING). It's no less durable than anything else on the 'mag.

The Xvalve is only 3oz lighter than the aluminum/steel ReTro valve.

Last question. If I cant get to 950-1000 psi and make the valve go rt, and i got a ULE Trigger mod, would i stil need the x valve?

You dont need the X-valve for anything really. If you have a classic and you wanna upgrade AND you plan on getting a lvl 10 bolt go for the X-valve, cause its a whole lot cheaper to send in your classic bolt to AGD and get a brand new X-valve at www.airguns.com than it is to send in your classic and get a RT and a lvl 10. The ULT is not included in either the RT or the X-valve so it really doesn't matter whether you have it or not. Just don't use CO2 on either. Lol there was someone at our teams field that was doing that. After a couple hundred shots the valve basically blew up hehehehe.

Oh ya and Dayspring..... I stick to my classic cause i seriously have dropped it out of my bedroom window while shooting it, and that was two stories up onto asphault. We all know the heaviest part is the first to hit and since i had it attached to a remote line, which broke in the fall the valve hit first..... Besides a little dent it was fine. I later replaced the valve for $50 with AGD after about 7 years, but at least my CO2 tank was safe
