x-mag trigger rod adjustment

I'm trying to disassembly the trigger in the xmag so I can change the trigger rod length. I read blackvcg thread on trigger adjustment. I've been able to remove the trigger frame and adjust the play on the trigger. But I can't seem to figure out how to pull the trigger rod out so i can adjust it's length.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unless your rod is not to spec, you don't EVER adjust the length.

As it sounds that your gun is new, it's to spec. Don't mess with it.

I got the gun used. It shoots well in hybrid and electronic mode. But I'm really used to my old micromag and I like shooting it in manual mode.
In manual mode the trigger rod is like a good 1/8" away from the trigger. It's barely sticking out of the frame. So I was hoping to move it a little closer to the trigger.

Some small pliers on the end of the trigger rod will do the trick. Just don't let it go out so far that it hits the back of the trigger when the trigger is pulled back in E-Mode.
