twist lock barrel sanding

Can you sand the breach end of a twist lock barrel?
I just got one and the edge is kinda sharp where the bolt slides in. I don't want it to dmg my bolt.

I can't see that there would be a problem. Just take some fine grit paper and sand the edge carefully.
