    bumper question

Will it hurt any thing if I use an old style blue bunper on my ule mag? I keep destroying the little clear rubbery ones. I don't know why AGD switched styles but there must be a reason so the question is posed. can I use the old ones?

well i too destoyed the one that came with my x-valved rt custom.... i replaced it with the old style blue bumper and about 5000 rounds later, i'm not seeing any ill-effects. hope that gives some word of advice... i too wonder why agd ever went to the softer bumper, since i dont see it making a big difference... maybe only to lesson the recoil/gun jarring...

I've also been using my blue bumper for as long as I can remember on my retro valve... I can't detect any ill effect.

from what i've heard, the only difference is the amount of recoil.

IIRC, wasn't there a warning about the power tube or bolt possibly getting cracked due to the stresses? The clear bumper absorbs more of the energy.
