Which Nitro Tank?

Newbie here again,

Just a quick question, I am currently trying to decide which brand of Nitro tank and size to get. What brands and size tanks do you all recommend?

Crossfire, NitroDuck, Pure Energy...?

Please keep in mind cost and maintanence.

It will be for a Minimag.

So most tanks don't really very by brand?

What else should I look for when picking a nitro tank?

any of those will be fine, they all have good regulators & tanks.
If It were my decision I would stay with the 68-72ci/4500psi sizes. (standard size is 68 cubuic inches, but recently tanks have been coming out with extra 2-3 internal cubic inches, due to new materials and design but this makes no dramatic improvements) But what has been changed in recent times is the new "shapes" of tanks, for example you can buy tanks that are short and fat like the "peanut" tanks....
Anyway, the point is try different sizes to see what fits you best, most people want a tank that they can shoulder to stabilize the marker when firing, you may like a smaller or bigger tank.
also I like the 4500 psi tanks more than the 3000 psi tanks because they get 50% more shots per fill.

3000 psi tanks = 10 shots per 1 cubic inch.

4500 psi = 15 shots per 1ci

A good tank is a good investment,

This is great information from everybody. Thanks for all the feedback. I think I am going to go with a 68ci 4500psi.

Just one last question.
Is it true that no matter using Nitro or CO2 on Automags/Minimags, they go through air a little faster than the average marker?

For example: If a tank says i will get 720 shots, should I estimate the # of shots lower because Automags/Minimags use up the air quicker.

you should get about 1000 shots from a 68/4500 with a mag, not too bad.

I have a crossfire 114ci 3k and i love it. Most people say that crossfire is best but i doubt theres a diff.
