    Classic Valve upgrades

Any upgrades for the classic valve? I dont' wanna drop the cash for the x-valve just yet, even used people want a lot of money for this stuff, good stuff i know.

I have a classic valve and bolt and i'm 'bout to get a used lvl 10 kit. are there any mods to make the trigger pull shorter and lighter?

Yea or should i just start saving?

Some people have put the ULT trigger kit into classic valves to get a lghter and shorter stroke, but I would search the forums to find their experiences with it before making any decisions.
Now a good change if intersted is either the Y-grip/ intelliframe or one of the new vertical frames recently released, which ever you like best. Other than that, there is no real upgrades to improve the perfomance of the classic valve.
I personally have just lvl 10 installed in my old classic and it works fine the way it is, though my slugg is y- gripped and x-valved.

Start saving bud. There are "upgrades" available for the classic valve, but they won't improve your performance and in some cases will make it worse. I'd suggest that you don't waste your money on them. If you're getting a used LX kit, you should save up and see if you can get a used retro valve. That'll probably be cheaper than buying an X valve and you'll get the same performance out of it (but you'll need the correct on/off pin for it). You really can't make the trigger pull shorter or lighter on a classic valve.

As Kev said, some people have put the ULT in the classic valve, but it's not recommended. Some people seem to have had positive results though.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

        ok, cool.

So i may go lvl10, but its not as important as i thought initially. I didn't know that my classic valve was still pretty good for my purposes (no tournament play).

I guess i'll save my money and buy one piece at a time as i see it available and i have the money and build another mag with the parts.

I think you're referring to 'short stroking' where you pull the trigger before the bolt has reset itself. I found myself doing this because i wasn't releasing the trigger all the way back. The bolt was ready, but i wasn't turning it completely off.

Anybody with more experience chime in?

              I dont get it

              Mshobe,

Why not send them your old valve get a $100 credit off the $325 x-valve and do it right.

              1) it will only cost you $225
              2) you get a new (not used) level 10 included
              3) thats one heck of a deal

My thoughts on the matter, I just ordered mine and shipped my classic yesterday.

I realize its a great program and the x-valve and the value is great, but please realize:

I just bought a drop forward, air tank, barrel, grip and hopper. I may go x-valve in the future, but for now i'm gonna save some money and recover from that spree.

How much lighter is the trigger pull? Cuz i still have the original frame, no double trigger, i dont' think ican outshoot the valve i have.
