AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
whats the difference between the lvl10 and the lvl7 bolts? im possibly trading my cocker for a mag that has an xvalve but not the lvl10 bolt, only lvl7 w/ foamie bolt.
Level 10 is the "no chop" Superbolt II...
Pros: It makes it impossible to chop balls, and is quite
a bit lighter... There is talk of improved theoretical rates
of fire because of less reciprocating mass. It also resets
after "pinching" a ball more gracefully than any other
no-chop bolt design out there.
Cons: requires a bit of fiddling to get working, and
requires higher gas pressure to operate and is slightly
less air efficient than the Level 7.
Level 7 is the previous generation bolt:
Pros: no tuning required, very fast, one of the most
air efficient bolts for the mag.
Cons: Heavier than the LX, if you stick your finger
in the breech and fire, you'll lose that finger.
If you're trading the gun, have the owner take the bolt out of the Xvalve. Have him look at the brass powertube tip. If it has a slot in it, it's level 7. If it's like something you'd put a wrench on, it's a level 10.
I'm fairly sure its a level 10 bolt b/c Xvalves don't come with level 7 bolts. (Unless he switched it back for some odd reason.)
ya i dunno i think he is buying the xvalve used from someone or something...kind of a weird situation
he said that the foamie bolt for the lvl7 made it no chop as well...but i kinda find that hard to believe as i have seen the foamie bolt and its just like an eraser tip stuck in the middle of the bolt - havent seen or fired one thou so im not sure if it does stop chopping
The Level 10 comes with the X-Valve and if it's a used X-Valve it's most likely to come tuned.
Good job on trading your 'cocker for a Mag. We need more people like you. I live in 'cocker country. In so-cal everyone and their mom has a 'cocker. It's so annoying. When kids see my Mag they automatically assume it's a 'cocker. We need more Mags everywhere.
bad news. kid decided to sell his mag for $$$ instead of trading it so im stuck with the cocker. its a good gun, shoots darts...i just dont think i really like it anymore. when i first started playing speedball i wanted to upgrade from my tippy and i though cockers were really cool. now i think the novelty has kinda worn off thou =/
oh well i still like the gun and i can confuse the **** outta newbies by explaining what all those little hoses in the front do =)

ya in the part of IL where i live i'm the only person in my city with a mag everyone else has a cocker or spyder
the lvl 10 doesn't chop the lvl7 does simple as that
Euro E-mag | TL63 | XMOD| EM01610
Euro Rt | OG | RT02382.
Kid says to me: "Cool gun, may I hold it?"
Me: "Sure".
Kid:"Is this a Autococker or Angel?"
Me: "Neither, it's a Minimag".
Kid: "Nevermind".------Then he walks away.
All of a sudden my gun isn't "cool" anymore when I tell him it's a Mag. Why is this???
I think that 'cockers got popular because of it's lying marketing scheme that they are "more accurate". I have not seen one AGD magazine ad in years. They don't make appereances at many tournaments. They don't sponser any pro teams that I know of. This may have to do a lot with the amount of people who use AGD products or even know AGD.
its not so much that people think they are more accurate, i believe its just that if your gonna get a high end mech gun its either a cocker or mag and like you said AGD doesnt advertise enough. WGP doesnt even have to advertise b/c so many people have cockers its advertisment enough - its a vicious circle!
that and autocockers are a lot more customizable than mags, i mean they have to most aftermarket parts out of any gun...you can start out with a $300 cocker that will keep up with any other mech and most low end electros out there and you can upgrade it to be just as good as a timmy/matrix/viking/shocker/angel/etc
not sayin cockers are better - i mean i am trying to trade mine for a mag after all =)

The only thing is, all those 'cocker upgrades just make them look different, they don't make them shoot better. With Mag's it's a different story. There are ULE parts and aftermarket rails and bodies. Things that actually make the Mag lighter and more functional.
