I have just recently purchased a X-Valve and noticed the directions it comes with say the input pressure should be around 650-750 PSI. My tank has a pre-set output of 850psi. Will this be ok for the X-Valve?

I'm in the same situation. When I asked that question I was told it would be fine and that I would experience a little more reactivity with a higher input.

Welcome to AO.
Yes that will be fine. The X-Valve is rated for at high as 3000psi direct input so there is no danger there. Most people with Mags here run with some preset tank anyhow.

i run my valve around 1000 so i get the bounce i want it has been reliable for me so far with no problems at all..

How many shots per fill do you get at 1000psi input? I've got a 68/3k nitro duck tank preset to 800psi, how many shots should I get with an x-valve?

the shots should be the same until you increase your input pressure then it would be a lot less shots per fill..

Well, since I'm inputting 800psi into the x-valve, how many shots per fill should I get out of a 68/3k tank?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your input pressure shouldn't effect how many shots per tank. As long as you don't change the velocity adjuster it should be the same; of course, you will start to lose reactivity when the tank gets low.

when i increased my input pressure my velocity went from 295 to well over 350..i don't have a chrony so i gotta wait to turn it down but more input pressure made my gun spike way high..

Did you screw in the regulator on the back of the marker? If so then you turned up your velocity not your input pressure.
Also if you dont have a chrono, how do you know its gone up in velocity?

i used an air america apocalypse and when i hooked it up i used macro line and you could tell that the balls were flying alot faster and harder..maybe i'm wrong but it seemed that way
