    Xmag bent plunger

OK...Here is the thing. I just bought a new Xmag and it absolutely ripped for a while. I kept good care of it and then around 6500 shots, it started taking longer to recock. Now at less than 8000 shots it does not recock at all. I know that my plunger is bent and every forum that has something like this just said it needed to be "tweaked." My question is How do I go about "tweaking" a bent plunger. It is going to Chicago AGD tomorrow to get flashed, but if someone can save me some money and tell me how to fix it so I dont have to pay, then it would be apreciated.

    Welcome to AO.

If the marker has never been sent back to AGD for a repair, you can have the thing repaired free of charge. AGD offers that on all their markers and its a very nice way to have a brand spanking new gun that has been tuned and ANY parts that need to be replaced will be FREE OF CHARGE. Just make sure you get a return autorization number before sending it in.

Take off the left grip panel so you see the solenoid and then hold the gun as if you're shooting it. Lift up on the plunger arm and then let go. The plunger should fall all the way back into the the solenoid.

If it doesn't, unscrew the sear axle pin from the left side of the body and the front frame screw and then lift up on the body. Pull off the E-Clip on the plunger and then lift the sear assembly out of the gun. Bend the plunger a bit by pushing on the plunger with it as far forward as you can push it towards the front of the sear.

Keep bending it forward and back and installing it each time until you get it so that it moves smoothly and can fall into the solenoid under its own weight.

Thanks for all the help, I dont have to ship it to AGD, because it is like a hour away, so do I still need an RA number? My teamate is taking his to get flashed too so he said that he will take mine too. If they have to keep it over night to fix it then Ill tell him to just take it back and ill try that. Keep posting if you have anymore information.
