That tank isnt bad..... but its expensive. If you have the money go for it. If not then buy a classic valve to start with and get an expansion chamber for like 30 bucks, its always nice to have an expansion chamber later on, even if you are using HPA

They don't offer the marker he's looking at with a classic valve so he MUST go HPA. Why downgrade to CO2 unless you can't get an HPA fill in your area?

It's not overly expensive considering it's a brand new tank. Besides he doesn't want a heavy tank and wants something that'll let him play all day without having to refill the tank.

I know for a fact that that the 68/3000psi tank won't last him all day. Only approximatly 680 shots. The 68/4500 psi will give about 1020. The only thing is, on a Mag it can't be emptied past 500 psi. The gun will not shoot at this low pressure in the tank. So with a 3000 psi, you are only gettting 2500 psi that is usable. Best bet is to get a scuba tank or two and refill your own nitro.

but you have to be careful there as not all shops will fill a SCUBA tank without a SCUBA certification card...

but yes, a SCUBA tank (a used rental tank is usually a good bargain) and a fill station definately helps.

How much would one of these cost? How would I refill it?

my local shop has used tanks, ones that they used to use for rentals, for sale for $85. A new tank'll cost you maybe $200. You would also need a SCUBA fill station as well which will allow you to connect the SCUBA tank to your HPA tank. those vary in price, but $50 is a good ballpark.

Now as I said before, I don't know if a SCUBA shop would sell and/ or fill a tank if you are not SCUBA certified.

If you have both items, you'll have the dive shop fill the SCUBA tank and then you fill your paintball tank from that.

Actually the only SCUBA tanks that cost $200 are the high pressure steels. If you spend $200 dollars you should just get 2 aluminum tanks. They fill to 3000 psi. One aluminum tank won't get you a 3000 psi fill because it works on cascading or equalization. Here's how it works.

1.)You have one empty paintball nitro tank.
2.)You have one full 3000 psi SCUBA tank.
3.)Using the $50 fill adaptor you connect the nitro tank to the SCUBA tank.
4.) When you open the SCUBA valve to fill it. The pressure in the empty tank will balance out with the pressure in the SCUBA tank.
5.) So the pressure in the paintball tank will be about 1500 psi (half of the scuba's pressure).
6.)A second tank needs to be used to top it off.
7.) When you fill from SCUBA tanks you need to remember which one you started on because it has the lower pressure. Always fill in the same order.

A lot of shops won't fill tanks without SCUBA C-Cards. Just ask. My shop never did paintball fills before, until we got a waiver release form. Now anyone in my store can get a fill as long as they are 18 years old and fill in their name, phone number, and signature.

I use a couple of aluminum 80's and my very own PST high pressure steel to top off the paintball tanks. I start with the 3000 psi SCUBA tanks and then top off with the high pressure 3442 psi one.

hmmm, I don't have enough money to invest in the scuba tank and the HPA tank. I am pretty sure the place that I currently get my Co2 from doesn't supply HPA. I need to see whether my dad can fill my HPA tank at work or not. If not, I have no other options except sticking with Co2 and remote and/or expansion chamber.

By the way, how did this guy extend the forgrip on his minimag so that it was further from the trigger guard?

                    Minimag w/ normal foregrip:

                    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3670826582

                    Minimag w/ extended foregrip:
                    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...670617045&rd=1

Looks like he had attached some type of metal adaptor in front of the trigger guard....is this a common upgrade?

                      Foregrip Extender

He used a Kapp Foregrip Extender. It mounts where the vertical ASA would be and you place the grip on the very end of that. There are drilled holes on both ends and made to fit the Mag rail. I used to have one and just sold it last week for $25 dollars, then bought a DYE Ultralite for 30 bucks. What a steal. Anyways, I used the extender temporarily but didn't like it. I had to use it because the expansion chamber I had was too fat to fit next to the first generation Intelliframe. The frame didn't have a carved out notch to fit it.

                        Another Question:

I saw this minimag on ebay:

                        http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...671464378&rd=1

Seems pretty good, has a decent barrel and level 10 bolt. However, I saw that it has a ANS Phase II valve. Should I shy away from this one? I have heard some peopl say that these valves offer no improvement over stock, and sometimes hinder performance.

I have not heard good things about the ANS valves. besides you give up the warranty with AGD with it. (each star on your valve is good for a rebuild by AGD, but only if you have matching valve halves.)
