I recently purchased an Automag off e-Bay and it has just arrived. There is a problem though. When I gas up the mag, air releases out the back of the valve through the regulator nut (velocity adjustor). I opened up the valve to see if I could find the problem, and think it is one of two things.
1. The Regulator Seal has turned yellow, and I don't know if it is sealing properly, but it is completely clean as the manual says it must be to function properly.
2. The Regulator Spring Pack seems to have been relpaced by a small rod with 25 shims on it. Is this normal, or is there supposed to be a spring there as it shows in the manual?
The velocity is not turned up too high, as it does this reguardless of the position of the regulator nut.
I have not taken apart the inside of the valve, or taken out the regulator piston, but those shouldn't cause the problem, should they?
Thanks for help, and I really need to get this gun working, hopefully without spending much money if any, as I spent it all buying the gun in the first place.
