    Lighter battery

While I was cleaning my new baby (xmag) today I got to wondering if anyone had come up with a lighter/smaller battery. The best info I could find was in this thread: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21149
Has anyone got any info on PsychoMag's progress or any similar work?

This is kind-of off topic. But I was wondering if there is any info on the Xmag firmware version 4.0? Has it been released or is 3.2 still current?

    Thanks a lot.

I can only answer the last part in saying I am almost positive the 3.2 is the latest version of the software.
Yes, my Mag is made of steel.

Dude, when I went to the research showcase at CWRU they had this little fuel cell! It's like, perfect for Xmags. Probably a billion dollars though.

        har har.

LiOn cells would not be that expensive and probably lighter than the NiMH.

I just wanted to see if anyone else has tried doing it before I start.
